TeleNav Inc Terms and Conditions
for the Use of the Wireless Short Messaging Service (SMS)
also known as "Text Messaging", or simply, "Texting" by the Whereboutz service

TeleNav makes every effort to comply with the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Consumer Best Practices Guideline for the use of text messages for conducting its Whereboutz word-of-mouth marketing campaign.. To review these guidelines, go to http://www.mmaglobal.com/bestpractices.pdf.

Messages Delivered by Whereboutz

Case 1: Upon receiving activation request from a Whereboutz application user, Whereboutz sends a text message to that user with a passcode. The user needs to enter that passcode into the Whereboutz application on FaceBook to activate the phone number he/she used to send the activation request.

Case 2: Whereboutz allows its mobile application users to receive the updates of location and status from other Whereboutz application users by text messaging via the Whereboutz short code address. For example, if John Doe chooses to receive updates from Mary Smith in the Whereboutz application, he will receive the message when Mary Smith updates her location or status in the Whereboutz application. When John Doe receives the message, it will be sent from Whereboutz short code, but opening the message will reveal that Mary Smith originally sent it.

In all cases above, the standard messaging rates (charges) imposed by the wireless carrier, if any, for delivering or accepting a message will apply.

Ending Message Delivery

Every message sent via Whereboutz short code includes instructions to reply STOP to stop future messages being sent on behalf of Whereboutz users. When Whereboutz receives a STOP message via a reply to its short code, TeleNav, Inc. is compelled by the MMA guidelines to inform the recipient of the original message that no additional messages will be sent, and to not deliver any further messages for any reason.

Obtaining Help

If a message recipient wishes to get HELP on the TeleNav services to better explain why he received the message, the recipient can send reply with HELP to the message, or any other person can send HELP to the Whereboutz short code, 82314, at any time. TeleNav will respond with a message that directs the sender to this portion of the Whereboutz web site.

Restarting Services

If a recipient, or any other person, has sent STOP, CANCEL, or any other word that could be reasonably interpreted as meaning the recipient wanted text messages from TeleNav’s short code to cease, but later determines that he does want to receive messages from TeleNav’s short code, the party wishing to restart services should send RESTART as the subject of a text message to Whereboutz short code 82314.
